Welcome to Men in Tents, a dedicated support group focused on the mental well-being of men facing challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for individuals to connect, share their experiences, and find healing through the transformative power of nature.
Our Purpose
At Men in Tents, we understand that many men, including military personnel and emergency services members, carry the weight of trauma and emotional struggles. We aim to create a supportive community where these individuals can come together, fostering camaraderie and understanding in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Our camping events are designed to offer respite from daily stresses, allowing participants to recharge and reconnect with themselves and others.
What We Do
We organize overnight camping trips in serene woodland locations once or twice a month. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for men to bond over shared experiences, engage in therapeutic outdoor activities, and create lasting friendships. Our goal is to promote mental wellness and resilience while enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors.
Our Values
- Community Support: We believe in the power of connection and the importance of building a strong support network for men in crisis.
- Nature as Therapy: Our camping experiences harness the healing qualities of nature, promoting relaxation and emotional recovery.
- Inclusivity: We welcome all men, regardless of their background, to join our community and share in the journey toward healing.
